Who doesn't love a good, local hangout? A quirky, unique, and fun place where locals go, and tourists yearn to find it! This bar in Savannah, Georgia, was one of those finds for us. My husband and I had been walking around, hot, tired and thirsty. We asked a local for a recommendation on somewhere to get a drink and he suggested Abe's on Lincoln, as in Lincoln Street. It took us a bit to find it as it was off the main street, but we were so glad we found it.
From the minute you walk in, you know it is something unique! There are little drawings of Abe Lincoln EVERYWHERE--on the walls, on the ceilings, on the tables, I mean EVERYWHERE!!! People drew pictures of Abe on napkins and hung them up. There were varying degrees of, ummmm...talent, but all were representative of Abe Lincoln.
Here are the little drawings all over the bar. It was really fun just to look at all the little drawings!
And, there were also plenty of George's too!
This was a fun and quirky place to go on our trip to Savannah! Always ask the locals where to go because they know the best places!
