On a beautiful sunny and warm day this past weekend, I ventured out to see what the Old Town Farm & Art Market in downtown Wichita might have. I was really surprised at the number of booths that were set up. I had never been to this farmer's market before, but was curious about what they would have this early in the season. I was very pleasantly surprised!
Jams, honey, pasta, cheese, candles, lotions, arts and crafts, and lots of food booths were everywhere! It was fun to wander around and check it all out. There was live music, pleasant venders and happy customers out enjoying the warm day.

One of the vendors was Bruce's Bullseye Farms, run by Joel & Laurie Bruce. They sold jams and jellies and interesting things like sloppy joe sauce. I bought a jar of Sandhill Plum Jelly. It reminded me of when my aunt would take my cousins and I out to pick sandhill plums and she would whip up some amazing jelly. It took me back and tasted great! They are located outside of Augusta, Kansas. You can find them online at www.brucesbullseyefarms.com.

The Meadowlark Farm Orchard and Cidery booth had a nice selection of ciders. They are location just east of Wichita. They grow peaches, apples, strawberries, pumpkins, and vegetables. Their website is www.themeadowlarkfarm.com.

I was surprised to find this booth full of boxes and boxes of wonderful pasta in all shapes and sizes! I bought several different shapes of pasta and learned they have lots of recipes on their website. Pappardelle's is out of Denver. According to their website, their vision is to make fresh, exquisite pasta in an array of flavors most American's have never tasted before. Their pasta has been served in many upscale restaurants across the country and has even been served in the White House. Find them online at https://pappardellespasta.com/.

After several tastings of cheese at the Elderslie Creamery booth, I purchased the Cloverdale goat milk brie and the Westfork cheese. Their website states they have grass based artisan goat cheese, made from animals who live under the sky, enjoy a full and purposeful life, and [is] processed by a team who is passionate to produce world class dairy in Central Kansas. They are located in Kechi, Kansas. You can find their website at https://eldersliefarm.com/.
I also bought the best bacon cheddar cheese from the Jason Wiebe Dairy booth! They are not pictured, but I wanted to mention them because their cheese is so good. They are out of Durham, Kansas. You can find them at https://www.jasonwiebedairy.com/.

One of the more creative booths was the Risky Biscuits booth. They make wholesome dog treats that are better for dogs than the store-bought ones. They have four flavors: Liver A Little - a Beef Liver treat; Sofishticated - Wild Caught Sardine treat; Double Trouble - Peanut Butter & Pumpkin treat; and GoGo Bananas - Banana treat. You can find them at https://riskybiscuits.squarespace.com/. I love the name of their business and products!

"Our mission at HAPI is to keep humans and pets together, fostering strong and lasting bonds, and ultimately reducing the number of pets entering shelters." You can find information about them at https://www.hapi.pet/.

Oh my gosh!!!!! These empanadas were AMAZING!!! Check out the Argentina's Empanadas food truck if you ever get the chance! I wanted to get more, but my stomach said no! I will try to find them again! https://www.facebook.com/EatEmpanadas
